#blackbeansoup 20 minute miracle

Black beans soup recipe so easy and delicious. Super powerful for high blood pressure and weightloss.

Miriam: We will skip the story about the black beans on the ceiling will you?

Kristi: Ha ha yes I will skip it for now although it’s very tempting I have to tell you! Maybe in our next book.

Miriam: Good idea. This recipe is a 20 minute miracle. Done in a rice cooker. Easy and can be adapted quickly for a salad or hummus or soup.

Miriam: pour a 16 0z bag of beans in a bowl rinse and pick out any stones. Soak 2 hours.

Add beans to pressure cooker add 4 cups of water and  2 garlic cloves.
Place lid on and turn on high.

The pressure release will jiggle slowly and when it jiggles fast, turn down to 7 or mediumish and cook 5 minutes.

Turn burner off amd leave on burner to let cool until pressure is gone.

Add 2 tsp of braggs liquid aminos, pinch of Celtic Sea Salt and 3 T of Canary Island Garlic and Herb olive oil.
Add thin sliced onion and tomato on top to serve..

Kristi: Our restaurant customers loved our black bean burritos made with these beans as well as our unwrapped black beans salad.

  2. I’m confused! The intro says it’s cooked in a rice cooker, and there is rice in the picture. But recipe says pressure cooker, and doesn’t list rice!

    • Hi Sally, you are so right. Ha ha sorry about that. We teach so much about using rice cookers for soup that I misspoke and said rice cooker when it should have been pressure cooker. Black beans won’t cook in a rice cooker like lentils or split peas will. Thank you for pointing that out.
I like to save some of the left over soup (if there is any 🙂 ) to make a breakfast burrito with.
Do you ever do breakfast burritos? So easy and portable. I have a great recipe for one if you would like.
Take care and let us know how the recipe works.
